When making carrot juice you can add water to the pulp & put it in a stranger. Once in the strainer hold over your container & squeeze the remaining juice from the pulp. You can do this by continously pressing down on it. You get more juice this way. Also what people do in Jamaica is add something like Condense milk to sweeten. Vanilla & nutmeg too (though with this you would probably use regular whole milk.)

@antonionitarkovsky – umm vegans wouldnt need to supplement b12… B12 is in all leafy green veggies such as kale and spinach and broccolli. Also, Yes vegans are healthy but that is because they are cutting out a ton of bad food from their diets, people can eat meat and be just as healthy. I eat a raw food diet and my health is at its peak and i still eat salmon and eggs, its not about what diet you are on, its what you choose to put in your mouth that decides how healthy you are!

    You seem like nice people.

I had a wonderful time making these videos. Hopefully some of you have enjoyed them. My comment about toxic animal foods is referring to the way we raise animals for food in this country. The reason they are more toxic than produce is because an animal is fed grain or pasture that has been sprayed with chemicals and then the animal is given antibiotics and growth hormones. Produce is not exposed to antibiotics or hormones. Of course the best solution is to buy organic or grow it yourself.

You have to realize that us humans have flat teeth like herb/omnivores. Not sharp ones like carnivores and carnivores can digest quicker with meat then we can. America has made meat into the people’s diets. I personally get sick if I eat meat or dairy products and I don’t like the abuse animals get when they are made into “food”. Not saying eating meat is bad but I just don’t like the way they produce it.

I read in a Gorilla book that we Gorillas are very closely related to humans, and we’re herbivores… I also read that chimpanzees who are anatomically closer to an omnivorous mechanism than humans, eat only a few percent of their caloric intake from non plant foods, and the bulk of that few percent is made up of insects. My canines are bigger and sharper than yours and I don’t eat meat… weird.

i believe that humans were meant to eat meat, otherwise our teeth would be more flat. but do you see a lion cooking his meat before he eats it? humans werent born with the knowledge on how to make fire and im sure man ate meat before the discovery of fire. although i wouldnt even think about eating the meat at the supermarket raw because of poor farming, they assume that we are just going to cook it anyway so let the animals be sick and unhealthy. but a wild, healthy animal is also hard to find.

Maybe because humans have always eaten meat? Lol. You serious? Yes, vegans are healthy…as long as they supplement their B12. :p

Antonionitarkovsky: I’m not sure I understand your thinking in saying veganism isn’t a natural diet for our species. Studies have shown that vegans are just as healthy (and many are healthier because they take more care of what they eat) than meat eaters. Obviously humans can live for a long time on either diet. Please explain your sources for how veganism is not “a natural diet for our species” and how meat eating is, I’ve seen no such proof to date.

Vegans are all about healthy “natural” foods. But Veganism isn’t a natural diet for our species. …weird.

Try getting a new monitor dude. You’re americanized outlook on how people should look is not correct. I bet those two positive people are a 1000x healthy than you or I.

  15. SirPuffNTuff on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 1:08 am

You should make sure you research “red meat” before you make your opinions about eating it.

  16. SirPuffNTuff on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 2:06 am

I bet you’re the kind of person that gives us vegans so much day to day drama with your silly comments about our lifestyle. Keep your unecessary comments about your unecessary food choices to yourself please.

DobermannX2 –I was thinking the same thing…they could have a gluten or celiac disease? I know a bunch of vegans that have celiac and were quite thin but then gained weight and started to look normal again after ditching gluten.

  18. antonionitarkovsky on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 3:14 am

“…especially animal foods” Bwahahaha. I like how she slipped that in, very subtle. Silly raw vegans. I’ll enjoy my juice AND my wild caught/pasture derived animal foods, thanks.

well, the thing is if u dont exercise and you eat just what you need, thats what you look like,if you dont exercise and you’re big,u’re big of fat thus you’re not eating right..
so the best thing is exercise and a complete vegan diet

  20. xTylerDurden90x on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 4:41 am

lmao same here I was like “mind your fingers!O_O”

  21. Mandy86lynn on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 5:38 am

lol the end is really funny, he was freaking me out putting the carrots in the juicer, I thought he was going to juice a finger lol :P

  22. tornadoseye824 on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 5:51 am

Have you guys tried juicing the tops of the carrots? The part of the carrot that we usually chop off for cooking/eating can be juiced and actually contains a lot of nutrients. Thanks for the video!

  23. shibez on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 6:14 am

    um..they shared a 1/3 cup of juice O.O …trust me they’re freaks

  24. spartaeus on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 6:46 am

It seems like there can’t be a happy medium. It’s either all or nothing for most everyone, junk food eaters or health nuts and vegans. I love juice. My diet in the summer is mostly melon and juice. But I will not say that a steak is bad for a person. My husband likes steak and salad and he is very healthy. Moderate exercise, a reasonably healthy diet, a happy medium.

  25. ionyou on Tue, 6th Jul 2010 7:40 am

You know something you’re right! I hadn’t even noticed. They need to work out badly. Especially the guy. What I meant was their skin looked tan.

But yeah if they lifted weights along with a protien and carb rich diet in addition to the veggies they already eat they’d be stronger and healthier.
